Popular sports in the UK
Manchester University (2013)
I can’t start my blog without telling you about the Olympic game that was in London 2012. It was in summer 2012 in London, and a lot of countries were play in that Olympic game. It is one of the important inventions in the UK.
England:
The most popular sports in England are Football, Rugby, and cricket (england.org.za 2013 ). Moreover, now a day the most sports are football and cricket, because it is the most useful sports and people enjoy that’s games. Also, the popular game in England is football. For example, there are a lot of football sports team in England, such as, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and a lot of them.
Ireland:
In Ireland there are many popular sports, like Soccer, Hockey, and Rugby Union (irelandlogue.com 2013). People are interesting in these sports because they are depending in the moving of body and by more flexible. Moreover, it better for their physical health. On the other hand, the most traditional sport in Ireland is curling/hurling. It’s the same as football but in curling/hurling they use sticks to play, and they run along the stadium and hit the small ball by the stick. This game was published in the 16 century (irish-curling.org 2013).
Scotland:
The most popular sports in Scotland are Football, Rugby, and Golf (talentscotland.com 2012). They are important in Scotland and also they are so helpful and useful for the health. Moreover, the most tradition game in Scotland is Football because its more interesting in Scotland.
Wales:
Finally, the popular sports in Wales are football, rugby, and swimming (barryanddistrictnews.co.uk 2013). According to Barry and district news that swimming is the most popular sport in Wales with 48%, then football with 45%, and finally rugby 35%.
